Focused on nature themes with a twist on collage techniques, Jessica creates pieces that set a mood, with the interaction of light and color. Using hand-cut image fragments from magazines and mail order catalogues, Jessica puts together once disparate pieces of paper that might otherwise have been thrown away, into a new, meaningful arrangement. Her mixed media approach doesn’t take itself too seriously, so the viewer might find surprises in her work up close that may not have been evident from a distance.
Jessica lives and creates in Des Moines, Iowa.
